About Mickens

A dum, baby boomer, white guy from New Jersey, who was thoroughly indoctrinated by both the Catholic Church and American TV values. Mickens has been trying to figure out the truth ever since casting aside both Jesus and Cap'n Crunch in a doobie-haze basement apartment while working on his drawing degree at Pratt in the late 70's. There in pre-millenial, pre-hipster Brooklyn he started to learn about "media"- meaning at the time, film and video. He went on to work a long successful career in the now neolithic venue of broadcast television. All along the way, since his early days in the Garden State he has been drawing. Mom helped a lot.
